A spring breakaway - three nights at the Oregon coast's oceanfront Shilo Inn Seaside! Day trips to Tillamook and Cannon Beach, followed by a leisurely drive home with an overnight in Olympia, Washington.

Day 1, Tuesday April 27
(home to Seaside, Oregon)

Following our at-home-pickup-service, we enter Washington, stop for a mid-morning breakfast in Mount Vernon, then continue south through Seattle to our lunch stop near Olympia. This afternoon we continue southward to Longview, and follow the Columbia River to the Oregon coast. Our home for three nights is the oceanfront Shilo Inn Seaside, which features kitchens, fireplaces, and balconies overlooking a great expanse of sandy beach.

Day 2, Wednesday April 28
(Seaside, visit Tillamook)

This morning during a scenic coastal drive, we pause on Neahkahnie Mountain to absorb the spectacular ocean vista, visit a Myrtlewood factory, and continue to Tillamook. In Tillamook we enjoy a visit to the Tillamook Air Museum, housed in a rare WW II blimp hanger - the largest wooden structure in the world, and a visit to the famous Tillamook Cheese Factory - award winning cheese, delicious ice cream! We return to Seaside for an evening at leisure. Our hotel is surrounded by numerous shops and restaurants.

Day 3, Thursday April 29
(Seaside, visit Cannon Beach)

This morning we enjoy spectacular views from Ecola State Park, browse the quaint shops of nearby Cannon Beach, and view its famous landmark - Haystack Rock, before returning to Seaside for an afternoon and evening at leisure. For the shoppers among us, we offer an afternoon visit to Seaside’s outlet mall.

Day 4, Friday April 30
(Seaside to Olympia, Washington)

Departing Seaside, we stop at the Astoria Column, which provides a panoramic view over Astoria, and the Columbia River as it enters the Pacific Ocean. We cross the Columbia on the four mile long Astoria Bridge, enter Washington State, and continue north on Highway 101 to Aberdeen, at the head of Grays Harbor. After lunch we travel east to Olympia and visit Washington's State Capitol, Olympia's jewel, surrounded by landscaped grounds and fountains. Completed in 1928, this was the last great domed capitol to be built in the United States. Our home tonight is the Red Lion Olympia, situated on 12 wooded acres, overlooking Capitol Lake.

Day 5, Saturday May 1
(Olympia to home)

This morning we travel the Kitsap Peninsula to Bremerton, where we board Washington State Ferries, for a one hour sailing across Puget Sound to downtown Seattle. From Seattle we travel north to our lunch stop in Bellingham, and then continue homeward to British Columbia.

The Collette Vacations Waiver & Insurance Plan is included with your tour deposit. This plan guarantees a full refund of all payments (except the waiver fee of $350) in case of cancellation for any reason prior to the day of departure. On the day of departure the cancellation fee is 100% of the total price.

The plan does not cover any single supplement charges if your traveling companion cancels and you elect to continue. In this case the single supplement will be deducted from the refund of the person who cancels. After departure, the plan provides transportation home and a refund of unused services if you are forced to cancel for medical reasons.

This plan also includes medical coverage without exclusions due to age or pre-existing medical conditions. You must not be disabled from travel when you pay your deposit.
