We travel the scenic Fraser Canyon to Williams Lake, cross the vast Chilcotin, and descend the Big Hill, for a two night visit to Bella Coola. We depart Bella Coola by BC Ferries Discovery Coast sailing, through the Inside Passage to Port Hardy, and stop for three nights in Port McNeill. From Port McNeill we make excursions to Alert Bay and Sointula, before enjoying a leisurely drive down the North Island Highway for our final night in Campbell River.
Following our at-home-pickup-service, we make a morning stop in Yale, and continue through a series of seven highway tunnels, as we travel the scenic Fraser and Thompson River canyons through Boston Bar, Lytton, and Spences Bridge to our lunch stop near Cache Creek. This afternoon we enter Cariboo country, pause at 100 Mile House, and then continue to our overnight stop in Williams Lake at the Overlander Hotel.

This morning we visit the impressive Port McNeill Museum, and then sail aboard BC Ferries across Broughton Strait to Sointula on Malcolm Island. Joined by our local guide, we tour the island settled in the early 1900's by Finnish pioneers. Our tour includes views of farms and fields, panoramic ocean vistas, and time in Sointula for lunch and visits to the museum, the arts & crafts gallery, and the co-op store. This afternoon we sail back to Port McNeill, and continue to picturesque Telegraph Cove for dinner and an evening stroll on the oceanfront boardwalk, before returning to our hotel.
