Day 1, Sunday August 15
(home to Sandspit)

Following our at-home-pickup-service we board Air Canada's mid-day flight to Sandspit on the Queen Charlottes' Moresby Island. Our home for five nights is the comfortable Inn at Sandspit, adjacent to the airport. Following dinner at our hotel, the evening is at leisure to relax and stroll along the ocean shore.

Day 2, Monday August 16
(visit Skidegate & Queen Charlotte City)

This morning we travel to from Sandspit to Alliford Bay, for a twenty minute sailing aboard BC Ferries to Skidegate Landing on Graham Island. Continuing to the Village of Skidegate we enjoy a guided tour of the Haida Heritage Centre, an award-winning attraction presenting Aboriginal culture. The 53,000 square foot cedar multi-complex houses the expanded Haida Gwaii Museum, the Performing House, Canoe House, Bill Reid Teaching Centre, Carving Shed, a café, and of course a gift shop! This afternoon there's time to browse the shops of Queen Charlotte City, before sailing back to Moresby Island and Sandspit for dinner and an evening at leisure.

Day 3, Tuesday August 17
(helicopter sightseeing to Skedans)

Today we fly by helicopter, from Sandspit to Louise Island in the Gwaii Haanas National Park Reserve to visit the abandoned Haida Village of Skedans, where totem poles still stand among the ruins. The aerial views of the Charlottes' rugged mountains and islets are spectacular! While one group is flying, the other group will tour Moresby Island by bus, and enjoy the comforts of our hotel which is right across from the Heliport.

Day 4, Wednesday August 18
(visit Masset & North Beach)

Today we return to Graham Island and travel to the north end, into Naikoon Provincial Park, through wilderness rainforest, to North Beach where we enjoy a walk on an agate strewn beach, and views of the 350 foot cliffs of Tow Hill. We visit the Village of Masset and the Haida community of Old Masset, where we'll pause to browse the shops and have our lunch. We return to our Sandspit home for dinner and an evening at leisure.

Day 5, Thursday August 19
(visit Tlell & Port Clements)

We return again to Graham Island and travel north along the beachfront highway to Tlell and Port Clements. Our day includes lunch and visits to shops and art galleries, and to the Port Clements Museum which depicts pioneer life in the homes and woods of the Queen Charlotte Islands. We return to Sandspit for a farewell dinner and an evening at leisure.

Day 6, Friday August 20
(Sandspit to home)

Following breakfast at our hotel, we board Air Canada's morning flight from Sandspit to Vancouver. Transfers included to home from the Vancouver Airport.
